Built in 1848, Fort Glamorgon once housed the military barracks for East London. Today fort is now the location of the Fort Glamorgon Prison and all that remains of the original fort is the gunpowder magazine.

Built in 1878, this was the home of John Gately, the first mayor of East London. Entry via Queens Park zoo.

Once an auction house for the sale of wool, this historic building is now part of Fort Hare University.
